A Mass of Thanksgiving celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouting will be held at Cathedral of the Holy Cross, 1400 Washington St. Boston, MA on Sunday March 18th at 2:00.
The Celebrant will be His Eminence Cardinal Seάn O’Malley OFM Cap., Archbishop of Boston.
The Committee would like to have as many Girl Scouts, both past and present and their families at this special Mass of celebration. Come wearing your vest or uniform with your badges and pins. A commemorative patch will be available for the first 500 pre-registered participants after the Mass for $2.00 each. Please register at GSEM100thMass@BostonCatholicScouting.org
This will be a great opportunity to visit our “Cathedral” and also learn about many religious medals, patches, and recognitions available to all Girl Scouts in a family setting. Some of these medals and patches are completed with the family, in your parish, or with a group in your community. Many of these have national standards and requirements and are available to girls of all ages, levels of scouting and are not completed as a troop. The significance is important in sharing your faith with your child as well as being recognized by Catholic high schools and universities. There is no charge for the mass however; advanced registration and donations are welcome and helpful but not required.
